Unsung Heroes
The Unsung Hero award was established at Trinity Church in 2006 and focuses on recognizing a person in the community who regularly helps and offers care to others in need, seeking no acknowledgement for themselves. Recipients give their energy, wisdom and assistance to a number of areas of need, as well as offer support and encouragement in their everyday encounters.
2024 Unsung Hero: Coach Craig Oren
Coach Craig Oren is a long-standing Physical Education teacher and the successful Head Wrestling Coach at Lancaster High School (LHS) (often referred to in news as "LHS") in Lancaster, Virginia, known for building strong wrestling programs, earning district coach of the year honors, and inspiring students with his motivational speaking, particularly around themes of hard work and success.
