Unsung Heroes

The Unsung Hero award was established at Trinity Church in 2006 and focuses on recognizing a person in the community who regularly helps and offers care to others in need, seeking no acknowledgement for themselves. Recipients give their energy, wisdom and assistance to areas of need, as well as offer support and encouragement in their everyday encounters.

We are beginning the process for selecting our 2026 Unsung Hero. If you are interested nominating someone, we are receiving nominations until September 6th. For each nominee, considerations are based on:

1. What makes this individual or couple an unsung hero in our community.

2. What volunteer service, acts of kindness, leadership, or other contributions has this person/couple made?

3. How has this person/couple made a difference in the lives of others?

4. What makes this person/couple an “unsung hero”?

You may use this form and submit via email or regular mail. (Note: Nominees can not be members of Trinity or St. Mary’s Whitechapel Churches.)
